We are a small, volunteer-led initiative built on a simple idea: business has a voice, and that voice matters when peace, and the other collective issues that threaten global stability and international law, are on the line. We help leaders, at every level of an organisation, find practical ways to use it.
We condemn the terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas on 7 October 2023, the murder of 1,200 Israelis and the seizing of civilian hostages. But the Israeli Government's unrelenting and ongoing military retaliation on Gaza and its largely civilian population, to us, breaches moral boundaries and the core principles of the Geneva Conventions.
In May 2025, a small group of us realised we were all working in and around business responsibility in the UK. With growing frustration, we realised that, whilst companies generally spoke up on collective issues where a broad consensus was established, such as the Russo-Ukrainian war, almost all of them stayed silent on the growing horror playing out in Gaza.
So we resolved to organise and to explore finding and using our collective voice.
The open letter we wrote made a straightforward case: business has both the standing and the responsibility to call for peace, and to press governments to act. Over the course of the summer, 1,400 business leaders signed it and it was delivered to No. 10 on 20 October 2025. On 28 January 2026, the UK government responded.
The letter, the website and the PR campaign run by the amazing Kibbo Kift agency on a pro bono basis, was a starting point, not a finish line. We continue to seek to create infrastructure that can enable business leaders to act, again and again, whenever it matters.
